Mystical Wisdom

Where the willow weeps

And seeps deep into the Georgia clay

A hymn is hummed by the faces of old

Folding reality so the truth is seen

You cannot bargain with them

For your fate is sealed without faith

No courage to have, no belief system shrouded 

A pentacle of hosts surrounds your soul

Begging for a way beyond the ether

You must stand your ground 

Never leaning into a fearsome rage

Unbroken fear cowarding 

Is what feeds the gluttonous unseen

Your soul is the light that vanquishes all

Within the darkest nights

Welcome Home

I walked alfresco
Into the veil of darkness
Surrounded by the boreal
Embracing arms of autumn
I stared at the constellations
To summon
Perhaps a glimpse of Heaven
When instead
A brilliantly gorgeous shooting star
Soared aloft gracefully
Right above my head
With the elegance
That only an angel would know

At that precise moment
I refused to make a wish
To ask for anything
Was for naught
I so quietly listened attentively
To the whimsical signature
Of an elusive after blaze
And I thought,
"You're not meteorites at all!
Welcome home my dear souls
Showering down from Summerland!
Welcome Home!" ©
