Ethos

I know the secrets
Behind the veil
I know who you were
Long before creation began
I know the story you wonder about
Hiding under the covers
Each night drenched with cowardness
Clinging, pretending,
To be copacetic when you're not
I know where the future
Begins to root
Creating, changing, and
Manipulating your psyche
I know where the key is
That unlocked the first signal
Of the entire multiverse
I even know your death date
I know how you will die
But that's for another afternoon
Drifting over coffee
When the sea is in a full red algae bloom
And they're partying on the moon
Once again.
Have you ever seen the moon
Fade, fade to green, orange, and an imperial purple
All in one night?
I suppose you missed that too
Failing to notice the bigger picture
Right in front of your rather
Largely obtrusive nose
But hey, if it's any consolation
I spend most of my days laughing
Ordering my pendants of orgonite
Scrutinizing over every meaning
Until all the crystals vibrate just right
Frequencies are the universal language
For there must be a bit of perfection
To balance the corruptive, disruptive,
Chaotic chaos of epiphany
That alters us all
By the way, near and far
I do know all your ulterior motives
And I have to say, "Your deception
Is as vast as the abyss
Of the Mariana trench." ©
