It was a bit strange last year, my daughters and I have never been close to riots ever, usually, the riots occur downtown. I live where three cities merge, so I had to hurry to get prescriptions since everything was closing down at 5 pm. When I asked what was going on, literally no one would say anything no matter their color, I had to look it up on the news. I will say this, I don't believe anyone should be giving a free out-of-jail card regardless of color; everyone should be treated the same and if that was the case in the past the riots wouldn't have happened at all. I do not support racism of any color, we are human beings one species, people are ignorant. I have seen racist people in every community no matter the skin color and it's disgusting. We must unify to make this world better not only against racism but on all the issues that are plaguing our planet; we are problem solvers.

Afterlife Migrating

Peace Successfully Forged
In greatly horrific desolation
Forgiveness never remains
The betrayals of the heart
Are never forgotten
She looked at him
With no sympathy
She knew every wrong move
He had made insistently
Upon her chess board
She cared not
Instead, she clung
To the infinite signal
That guided her through
Eternity's boundlessness
Love itself and nothing more
She took a few steps
Looked deep into his lying eyes
Gently grabbed his unshaved face
With her thin weary hands
Kissing him
Upon his wrinkled forehead
And hugging him so tightly
He could never break free
This moment is unconditional love
And with that,
She turned upon her heels
Letting the past fade
Into a black hole of oblivion
Her long black cape
Drifting in the turbulent winds
No regrets did she keep
For she knew the story well
From a collection
Of missing puzzle pieces
She had coaxed
From his dormant mind
Unsettling yes
Shook to the core yes
But as always
She is the survivor
Of every apocalyptic moment
That forged her existence
No time to dally ©

Division Will Never Create Unity

Chrysalis
Destroys the soul
Fracturing trust in humanity
Forcing the victim
To build insurmountable walls
Heightening anxiety
Stressing the heart's ability
To beat peacefully
Surging pain throughout
The entire nervous system
You asked me if I still love you
A resounding no I scribed
While midnight was closing in fast
Is the only answer I have you
For such targeting hatefulness
I shook off the suffocating abuse
Renewing myself
With strength and perseverance
Arising within
A new summer solstice sunrise ©
